Much of my family has been ravaged by cancer, I'm in remission. Let me tell you, those tender months in treatment I don't know what it was but things were fuzzy much of the time and then there were moments of extreme clarity and creativity unlike anything else. If I were to ever have found god, it would have been then.

I know my writing approach/voice is sometimes gruff, but this guy (Steve) was a really good friend and it fkn sucked ass to watch. I figured everyone could relate to this in some way. I had already seen lympho and myelo in friends as a kid and the first one killed her in 2 months. I worked in the infirmary inside for 3 years and saw brain, lung, ball, butthole — you name it. Life shit.
I appreciate you sharing, and I’m relived my style didn’t offend. And seriously, 🙏
